Hello! On the Thursday 31st January 2019 we had a meeting. I know it was a very long time ago, but we have been so busy we couldn't update you. So I will update you now!!! At fist, we went into the hall just before everyone came in to have their lunch. We put little sticky notes on wonky chairs so our caretaker could put them straight again. Also, we discussed are class ideas for any more equipment on the playground. I will give you an idea or two about the possible ones. More balls to play with (lots of colours), class plant pots (for each class to look after) and mini trampolines. I am not quite sure on the mini trampolines, but it's not up to me! Hope you enjoyed the update. Good-bye!!!

We have now met with Mrs Dentith to talk about our ideas and to discuss our check of the safety of the school grounds (we did a thorough walk around). We were pleased it was so safe but gave a couple of suggestions, like a higher button for the car park and some plants by the pond. She is already working on some of these with Mrs. Batten and really listened to our ideas. We discussed all the class ideas from days off and blazers through to a friendship stop and different lunch activities. We have decided to focus on the friendship stop and lunch activities but we are also going to find out about class flowerbeds to see if this would be possible. It is great to feel like we can make a difference! JP and TS are learning to write up minutes of meetings as well now. Watch this space for more updates...
Today, we went to Cold Harbour Mill! We teamed up with the schools Green Team. Together we went as a of group 15. Only the Chair and Vice Chair went from School Council. The Green Team people were a mixture of Years 5 and 6. The reason we went to Cold Harbour Mill was to plant some trees for the environment. It was really fun, we had to go around to see where there was a little sapling that hadn't been planted yet. Then once we had found one we would dig a hole and then plant the sapling in the hole, then cover it with the soil. Once you had done that, you would put a bamboo stick in the ground next to the sapling. After that, we would put a piece of plastic to stop the rabbits eating it. Then we headed back to school for lunch!!!
Hello, today we have had another meeting. In the meeting we all where given readings for the Christingle service, which is taking place on the 28th November 2018 on the Wednesday next week (very exciting). We also shared our class ideas to make the school a better place. Some of the class ideas were- to have a craft club, longer ties, to sit were ever you want, not to have separate tables for school dinners and pack lunch tables and to wear blazers! Some of them might be possible but some of them might not be possible. After that we went around the school to see if there was any way that children could escape. We will tell Mrs Dentith so she can help keep us all safe. I hope that this keeps you up to speed!!!
School Council have just finished judging the calendar competition. They where all so good, it was so tricky to pick! But we have chosen our winners and we are sticking to them. Every single one was amazingly colourful and bright. We have chosen one winner from each year group! The theme for this year was to be respectful to the community. We had lots of entries, so please don't be sad if you have not been chosen.
The school council have been practising harvest poems to read out in the church. We have had our pictures taken and hope to have them put up on the board next to the hall soon. Our new school councillors have had two meetings and are starting to give in ideas from our classes.
